Rule of Life #462: Never, EVER, buy a plastic pepper mill. Just trust me on this. I know, I know, it did seem like a good idea at the time, but it's not. I learned my lesson the hard way, so you don't have to. I don't want to talk about it. Lets just say that if the dog gets into the garbage to go after my uneaten eggs today, he'll learn his lesson, too.

Perfex FTW! Aluminum body, stainless steel cutters, Long crank handle for leverage and easy loading through a door in the side. I bought my first in the mid 70s, and I'm still using it.

Hey, Rob, thanks. Looks very nice, I just put the set on my Amazon wish list.

Sure would appreciate if you'd buy them for me for my birthday, $130.00 for the set is pretty steep. Are they really worth that?

Kyle,
Perfex used to make a smaller version, maybe 3" tall; I have two of those and one of the larger ones. One of the shorties is about thirty years old, the others are around 15 or 20 y.o.
I have one with white pepper corns, and coarse and regular grinds with black pepper.
Sure, I suppose I could pick a couple nits with them, but I've never come close to thinking I'd replace them with anything else.
I only have pepper grinders btw, never tried the salt grinder.
